នាងស្រីម៉ុមអញ្ជើញអ្នកសុំទានឲ្យចូលទៅក្នុងខ្ទម។ នាងចែកបាយ និងត្រីប្រៃបន្តិចបន្តួច ហើយឲ្យផ្នែកច្រើនបំផុតទៅអ្នកសុំទាន។ ឪពុកពិការភ្នែករបស់នាងញញឹម ហើយងក់ក្បាលដោយពេញចិត្ត។
អ្នកសុំទានក្រោកឈរឡើង ហើយជូតមុខ។ សម្លៀកបំពាក់រហែកក៏របូតចេញ ប្រែក្លាយទៅជាសំពត់សូត្រពណ៌មាស។ ព្រះអង្គជាព្រះមហាក្សត្រ! នាងស្រីម៉ុម និងឪពុកភ្ញាក់ផ្អើល ក៏ក្រាបថ្វាយបង្គំ។
ព្រះមហាក្សត្រទ្រង់លើកនាងស្រីម៉ុមឡើង។ “នាងបានបង្ហាញនូវករុណាធម៌ពិតប្រាកដ។ នាងបានចែកបាយចុងក្រោយរបស់នាងដល់ជនចម្លែក ខណៈដែលនាងថែរក្សាឪពុកដោយក្តីស្រឡាញ់។ នាងជាអ្នកឈ្នះ”។
ព្រះមហាក្សត្រទ្រង់បញ្ជូនឆ្មាំទៅហៅនាងស្រីទុចមកកាន់វត្តមាន។ នាងស្រីទុចស្លៀកពាក់យ៉ាងស្អាត ហើយដើរតាមឆ្មាំដោយមោទនភាព។
នាងស្រីទុចបានមកដល់ខ្ទមក្រីក្រ។ នាងឃើញព្រះមហាក្សត្រឈរក្បែរនាងស្រីម៉ុម។ មុខនាងប្រែជាស្លេកស្លាំង។ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រទ្រង់ត្រាស់ថា “យើងបានទៅផ្ទះឯងក្នុងរូបអ្នកសុំទាន។ ឯងបានបណ្ដេញយើងចេញ។ ឯងលាក់ឪពុកពិការក្នុងបន្ទប់ងងឹត”។
ព្រះមហាក្សត្រទ្រង់ប្រកាសថា “ទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិរបស់ឯងនឹងត្រូវដកហូត ហើយប្រគល់ឲ្យនាងស្រីម៉ុមវិញ។ នាងជាអ្នកដែលស្គាល់តម្លៃនៃគុណូបការៈពិតប្រាកដ”។ នាងស្រីទុចក្រាបអង្វរ ប៉ុន្តែព្រះមហាក្សត្រមិនព្រមស្តាប់។
នាងស្រីម៉ុមបោះជំហានទៅមុខ ហើយក្រាបទូលថា “បពិត្រព្រះអង្គ! ទូលព្រះបង្គំមិនត្រូវការទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិរបស់នាងទេ។ ទូលព្រះបង្គំសូមត្រឹមតែថែរក្សាឪពុកដោយសុខសាន្តប៉ុណ្ណោះ”។ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រទ្រង់ញញឹម។ “ចិត្តរាបទាបរបស់នាង ធំជាងទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិទាំងអស់ទៅទៀត”។

ព្រះមហាក្សត្រទ្រង់បញ្ជាឲ្យសង់ផ្ទះថ្មីមួយសម្រាប់នាងស្រីម៉ុម និងឪពុករបស់នាង។ កម្មករសង់ផ្ទះឈើដ៏ស្រស់ស្អាតមួយមានសសរចម្លាក់។ នាងស្រីម៉ុមឈរមើល ទឹកភ្នែករបស់នាងស្រក់ចុះដោយក្តីសប្បាយ។ ឪពុកពិការភ្នែករបស់នាងញញឹម ហើយកាន់ដៃនាងយ៉ាងណែន។
មុនពេលព្រះមហាក្សត្រយាងត្រឡប់ទៅវិញ ព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅកាន់ប្រជានុរាស្ត្រថា “ចូរឲ្យរឿងនេះជាគតិអប់រំដល់កូនចៅទាំងអស់។ សេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់របស់ឪពុកម្តាយ គឺជាកំណប់ដ៏ធំបំផុត។ ចូរគោរពឪពុកម្តាយរបស់ខ្លួន មិនមែនដើម្បីរង្វាន់ទេ គឺដោយសារតែវាជាការត្រឹមត្រូវ”។
