In a quiet village deep in the Cambodian countryside, there lived an old ox cart driver named Ta Ba (តាបរ) . He was known for his kindness, always helping neighbors transport goods and giving rides to monks. But one fateful night, a terrible storm forced him to seek shelter in an abandoned house. Inside, he disturbed the restless spirit of a woman who had died unjustly many years ago.

The ghost followed him home, haunting his ox cart every night. The oxen would refuse to move, the cart would creak on its own, and a woman’s wail could be heard from inside the cart. The villagers grew terrified. But Ta Ba, with the help of a wise old monk, discovered the ghost’s tragic secret and performed a ritual to set her soul free.
